Terms & conditions

By using the Al-Tali'a Scientific Library app you agree to the following.
Account
An account is required to check out. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for the accuracy of the address and phone number you provide.
Prices and availability
Prices are in Jordanian dinars and include tax where applicable. You may display them in US dollars for reference; when paying through PayPal the amount is charged in US dollars at a fixed exchange rate shown before you pay. Prices and availability may change without notice. The final price is calculated when the order is confirmed and is the one that applies.
Orders
Confirming an order reserves the stock for you. If an item sells out before dispatch we will contact you to amend or cancel. A PayPal order left unpaid for 90 minutes is cancelled automatically and the books return to stock.
Payment
- Cash on delivery: paid to the courier, within Jordan. Please have the amount ready.
- PayPal: with a PayPal balance or a card through PayPal. The order counts as paid once PayPal confirms the transaction.
Delivery
We deliver within Jordan by courier, and abroad at a flat shipping rate shown in your cart. The delivery fee is calculated at checkout and is waived within Jordan above the threshold shown in your cart. Estimated delivery times are not guarantees. Orders shipped outside Jordan can be paid through PayPal only.
Loyalty points
You earn one point per dinar of book value when an order is delivered, and can spend points as a discount on a later order subject to the minimum shown in the app. Points from a cancelled order are reversed. Points cannot be converted to cash.
Cancellation and returns
You can cancel an order in the app as long as it has not been prepared; a PayPal payment is refunded to the same payment method within a few days. For defective or wrong books, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace them or refund the amount.
Content
Reviews you write are moderated before publication; we may remove anything offensive or abusive.
Liability
We do our best to describe books and show accurate images, but editions may differ. Our liability is limited to the value of the order.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
